W imię Boga i diabła, mocą światła i ciemności, dobra i zła, tu pod czarnym sklepieniem niebios symbolem zemsty, wyrażam i poświęcam moje ciało, kończyny, moje serce, mój umysł i przysięgam na wszystkie prawa w niebie i piekle, że poświęcę swoje życie, dochowam posłuszeństwa wyższym oficerom tej organizacji i że nigdy nie zdradzę towarzyszy. Dalej obiecuję i przysięgam, że będę niszczyć, bez miłosierdzia, wszystkie organy rządu federalnego, Jayhawkersów i ich podżegaczy, którzy, jak węże zniszczyli życie naszych sojuszników i sympatyków. Tak długo będę walczyć bez litości, jak długo wystarczy tchu. Przed wyjawieniem swoich zadań oraz mojego ślubowania, mojej uroczystej przysięgi i obowiązków. Będę się modlić do Boga i niemiłosiernego diabła, żeby moje kończyny zostały złamane kamieniami i odcięte, żeby stały się pożywieniem dla padlinożernych ptaków, żeby moje ciało się rozpruł, moje wnętrzności zostały wyrwane i podane ptakom.
